So what's happening is I downloaded the new mac OS Catalina, not sure if that has anything to do with this. I assume the corruption is a Windows corruption, but the fix was to create a "Super Admin" account on the windows machine and launch PPro inside the Admin account. TL DR The diagnosis was that there is a corruption of user permissions on the machine. I just wish there was a better fix for this problem so that my computer would work simply and straight-foward.
